Winter at Island Street Bar & Grill

Never one to be entirely satisfied, chef Nick is continuing to tweak and perfect the Island Street Bar & Grill menu in keeping with the seasons.

As the cooler months take hold, he’s streamlined the offering and added a few new ingredients to really add that sense of warmth for the autumn and winter with the likes of a new vegan dish in the form of a sweet potato curry and a veggie falafel and mushroom burger.

 

A passionate advocate of all things gluten free, Nick is particularly pleased to now be able to offer gluten free brioche buns that meet his exacting standards, which makes almost the entire ISBG menu suitable for a gluten free diet.  “The looks on peoples faces when they realise they can have this kind of food without worrying about it is wonderful. It really opens up the menu for everyone to enjoy,” he says.

 

In conversation we wanted to open up the veggie options and there are requests for vegan options and I eat quite a lot of veggie food as well - sweet potatoes and create something really satisfying 

 

Coupled with the new addition of Friday night Steak Club offering two steaks and bottle of house red for £33, comforting home made classics are set to feature amongst the specials as well, each with their own little ISBG slant alongside longstanding favourites such as our gluten free Southern Fried Chicken.
