Ghosts, goblins and little monsters have gone back to school now that half term and Halloween have come to an end, but Salcombe continues to hold its own brand of magic as we enter into November… naturally!

Daisy meets her muse

First things first, some very happy news.  Remember those lovely pictures of our gorgeous girl Daisy Palmer painting in the Winking Prawn garden this summer (a photo reminder above)?  Her inspiration was artist Kate Andrew and last week she got to meet her muse in real life!  Nothing could make us smile more.

Blue skies and hot chocolate

We still have the occasional blue sky as autumn turns into winter, and at North Sands, woolly hats are the order of the day, complete with hot chocolate and marshmallows to warm up, long walks and big breakfasts.  That’s what winter in Devon was made for surely?

Croissants and soup

At Sailor V we’re still finding a few spiders on top of our strawberry and blueberry smoothies in the wake of Halloween, but it’s really all about piping hot bowls of beef chilli and rice.  You may also be pleased to know that our croissant and soup winter deal is now back up and running, providing a lunch to smile about.

Burgers and cocktails

Meanwhile, at Island Street Bar & Grill continue to party into the weekends with live music and events, or hunker down with a half price burger on Wednesdays (if you haven’t tried the Greek burger, your Wednesdays are about to get a whole lot better!) and cocktail hour on Friday evenings.
